Isanti, MN: Old School House Photographs

Back when John was still using a film camera, the store that developed his film became aware of what he was doing. When another customer brought in film to be developed in 1996 that showed similiar anomolies they referred her to John.

The home was originally a school house that was shut down after one of the Scarlet Fever or TB epidemics. It sat empty until a private party purchased it in the 1980s and turned it into a four-plex (2 up/2 down). In the early 1990s it went vacant again, then in 1992 the new owners purchased it with the intent to convert it to a single dwelling. Shortly after the remodel work began their antique piano started to play by itself, they would hear and see children running around and peak around corners, their daughters wouldn't sleep in one of the bedrooms and occassionally the door would not open.
